Cask IPA from Barrique for a chill Sunday before a long work week. It's smooth, spicy, sorta citrusy, and very earthy. Kind of like meadow tea with orange. Excellent feel too, exceptionally drinkable.

 

turned off the devils game cuz they suck.

hadn't had some good funk in a while so having an Orval, what a treat

Amazing Buffalo chicken and Mexican pizzas. I liked the Buffalo more even though it had celery on it.


Fiddlin Fish How About Brown Trout? Aromas of caramel, brown sugar, chocolate, dark bread/crust, herbal, grass, pine, light coffee/char/dark fruit. Taste of caramel, brown sugar, chocolate, dark bread/crust, herbal, grass, pine, light coffee/char/dark fruit. Medium pine, herbal, charred, woody bitter finish. Medium carb and body. Balanced creamy bready malts and sticky resinous hop mouthfeel. Lingering resin dryness with minimal hop astringency. A great American style brown on malt complexity and adequate hopping. 4/5

Oh my. This special sauce is really good. Another SN Hop Tropical IPA for the final review. Booking work into Sept. now and trying to wedge in some PTO travel plans. Got the wknd blocked out for the @GreenBayBA shindig in July. Perhaps it will be visible via satellite.

My buddy just dropped off some FAF Clag beers canned 2 days ago. This is a really good one.

 

Cherry Bomb

 

1) Phase Three Out For Delivery (7.8% no canning date): A NEIPA from Chicago with Centennial and Simcoe for flavors of yellow lemon, orange, pineapple, papaya, and mango.
versus
2) Phase Three Snow Pants (7.9% no canning date): A NEIPA from Chicago with Meridian, Moteure, Mosaic for flavors of sweet and tropical berries and dank pine. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Happy Sunday BeerAdvocates. Phase Three NEIPA Battle. First is Out For Delivery. Centennial and Simcoe
Next is Snow Pants, a new release with some interesting hop flavors of Meridian and Moteure. Lots of tropical and complex berry flavors mixed with some dank pine. The Meridian hop is not one I come across frequently. Definitely a tropical berry and bright pine flavor from it here with some hint of spearmint.
Phase Three has been using more more interesting hops lately. Out For Delivery has West-Coast hops extracted into their hazy fruit flavors. Almost like a better version of Bells Hazy-Hearted I liked it.
Snow Pants has some more unique hop flavors. I'll have to see how it ages, but impressed with the Meridian hop here.
Winner: Phase Three Snow Pants

Full review linked above, full New Beer Sunday treatment linked here. WBAYDN treatment, this is a good Czech Pilsner heavy on the Saar hops. Not for everyone due to a few departures from traditional style notes, but I’m enjoying and think you would too.

I ordered this because I've enjoyed the Amburana beers I've had, but a little goes a long way, and this was a tad too much IMO. Other beers were great and the place is too. Cheers!
