I really did not pay it much mind, just assumed it was new because it was "pre-order,"

Meant to post this last night and forgot. This was really good. I like ginger aroma and flavor and this had like a pickled ginger thing going on that I really liked. Cheers!!

    The fuzzy lol.

The DBD is a surprise release (even though there’s been several emails and social media posts )

Is there only one? Don't they usually release multiple DBDs around stout week?

The only way it will surprise is if they offer it to LC.

I kind of hope LC doesn’t get any stout week stuff just to watch the world burn.

As a disgruntled (not really) LC, that actually would make me laugh.

Tired: Let’s end the LC year with a bang.

I mean, we haven’t gotten any of these releases for stout week and barely the anniversary releases last year. That world has long since burned.

True, but this is also right before asking for $250 in renewal fees

Would be real interesting to see the renewal percentages. I’d genuinely be very curious to see how it compares this year vs last.

I'd really like to know as well. I've been really waffling on signing on for another year (if I even get invited back), or using the money for another membership for another hobby that would provide more value. I've enjoyed my year as apart of LC, but I also wouldn't say it has been worth the price of admission either.

I'm also curious if this is the current modus operandi for LC members, or if they'll bolster the membership's perks in coming years, perhaps after a reduction in membership numbers.

That’s what I’m wondering too. If same perks as this year, it’s probably a pass for me. All their biggest and best beers are IP releases anyway. The convenience of not having to wait in line or buy packages is nice, but the volume of releases the LC gets is way down, the party timing was markedly worse, and you’re effectively prepaying the package prices with the membership fee.

But…I do wonder if the membership will shrink substantially and maybe LC starts seeing significant advantages again? $250 isn’t the most expensive insurance policy….
