Thanks buddy, that was long overdue and I’d say deserved. No good thing comes easily… onwards and upwards as always. Cheers.

Odell IPA on draught at Old Chicago. I can't remember the last time I saw it this way.

    Prost!

Day drinking is usually not on my agenda M-F, but it is today.

And wassup with Jimmy Page playing a Gibson RD Artist as opposed to his usual Les Paul? And BTW, plant looks higher than a kite in this video (big surprise, right?)!

TGIF Advocates! I'm in a pretty good mood. My stress test this morning came out good, that's a nice feeling. Cut down on the sodium and I think I'll be okay for a while.

First time with this brewery, Off Color Brewing Apex Predator Saison 6.5%. This is quite good and it is jusr about 12 months old. Nice light fruity esters, floral and herbal hops. Well balanced. Has an underlying tartness I did notice until well into the glass. Like it! Cheers!

I have yet to have something from Jack's Abby that is off or I didn't like. Shipping Out of Boston is no exception. An excellent example of Amber Lager. Toasted bread with herbal and earthy hops notes. Perfectly balanced bitterness and sweet malt. It amazes me how dry this beer finishes. Totally expected it to be overly sweet. You folks that have access to JA are lucky indeed. Cheers to JA! @ZlaVydra

Stopped by one of happy places to pick up a TIPA, but since I was here, I figured I’d try one of their other offerings:

Babou - an Ocelot collab with Barreled Souls, imperial stout aged over 2 years in wheated bourbon barrels. Quite a bit of tangy cherries atop booze and then some dry dark chocolate brownie.

Great how they kept the taste in this beer without the alcohol.

Halfway Crooks Linus Pilsner is back. This is a simple pilsner featuring Nelson Sauvin and Motheka hops. It seems a little more bitter than last year but has a nice hops combo. This was just canned early in the week, so about as fresh as you can get. Cheers!

I’m not sure if that’s a compliment to the N/A or a dig at the regular

A dig at the regular and indirectly a dig at me. I’m baffled.

Seriously, I’ve never bought Leffe 0,0 yet Heineken N/A iteration was kind of ok.

Brewing “beer” without alcohol still doesn’t make any sense to me. Now that’s a dig at the Dry January gang.

I’ll take that one a little as I like Guinness 0 for a weekday beverage now that I’m older (no dry months, though).

But I’m not sure what time it is in Europe, but it’s February here - no more dry January for us, at least
