    And is now $20

But really: they also just tapped Content Moderator at the cellar so I’m curious how they’re different

Content Moderator uses EVOO and Pizza Lager uses traditional tomato sauce

Maybe they'll have it available more often if it's their new house lager. I'd be way more excited about that than the stouts.

They’re not different. Just a branding thing.

Was still going strong when I left an hour or so ago. There seemed to be a bit left.

Drank a can of Pizza Lager. If this is any different than Content Moderator it’s hard to tell.

Apparently the cellar has the wrong price for pizza lager. It’s supposed to be $16.

1pp today on the two new bottles (aspen / maple). Also 1pp on double barrel willet until it’s gone.

If these 4 beers were meant to be drank side by side they should have sold them as a pack.

The two released today are significantly different from each other, which is surprising considering it’s the same beer with different wood staves on the finish.

So these are staved in a Stainless tank or during the first barreling?

I came up to buy both and saw the ratings start to come in and decided not worth it for $54 apiece. Was glad I made the trip tho…got one of the last DB Willett and picked up my LC-allocated nilla bottle. I call that a win.

I would guess during the second barrel. I feel like all of these are the same batch of beer and just finished differently.

I guess I'm not entirely sure that I understand what these beers are. I had assumed the "finish" was the second barreling. I guess if that is wrong, then these are double barreled and finished.

Double barrel aged imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels and finished in [fill in the blank] wood

I have long wondered if these original beers were purpose-brewed for finishing as part of this program, or if they were one of the recipes that didn't work as well as intended, so it was pivoted to a test program that might salvage a barrel that missed its original mark.

It's not a bad thing if that's the case--very much the nature of experimentation. We know they choose the best of the best for Tete or Oude Ferm, so it's natural to think the reverse might happen with stouts.
