It’s not entitlement. There was an expectation based on precedent that was paid for and was not met.

I’m going to need a yearly break down of LC only bottles vs LC first shot bottles vs public bottles vs in person releases to see that hold up.

    It’s absolutely entitlement.

If they start using the horchata base for the horchata named release it will be horchata racked in barrels then blended with horchata ingredients to make a horchata flavored stout. Horchata cubed?

Hopefully Pipeworks will do a hard hat tour so we can see the process

Last comment I’ll make and then I’m out on the back and forth, but….if you don’t think the ratio of LC-only bottles vs public bottles has decreased significantly this year vs the historical average, you’re out of your mind. It used to be that LC got virtually everything and public got nothing. Now that’s largely flip-flopped.

I know. This may seem crazy but people name things after things it reminds them of. The finished base beer may had tasting notes of horchata. It maybe the recipe had rice in it ( I don’t know).

This is starting to feel like when Kevin Durant used a burner account to troll his critics.

    Cory, is this you?

Blink twice and we will release the loyalists to thwart the dissent.

I didn’t feel any different to me (than the last couple of years) , but I’m not beer obsessed anymore. I’d def like to see some facts behind all this bitching.

It’s not like the old days when there was 120 in the LC. But that’s surely not what you mean.

How many years have you been an LC? This is year one for me so I don't have the experience of the many years prior.

I know. I like you. I like most of the people who post on this page. I've never met anyone at Side Project that I shared a beer with that I disliked. And that is the cool part of Side Project.

LC is an afterthought for me because I don't like to drink alone. I have 200 white labels alone that are meant to be shared.

But I love to see everyone get worked up on these pages. It's good for the hobby.

At this point I fell Iike vanilla is a part of a beer’s recipe

It was getting too whiny in here. Decided to stir it up a little today.

That’s just because Cory is in business with big vanilla.

I can see how SP may have arrived at the naming convention, but it still does nothing to clarify to the layman. Frankly, I don't care enough about beer to learn what SP's base beers are called (or the fact they've release two adjuncted versions of 'base beers' of the same name...?)

Tell people something is "Horchata recipe", and it'll lead people to the definition of horchata. Especially since many other breweries release "horchata style" beers, which align with the traditional horchata ingredients & flavor profile.

I'm not trying to get into an argument here, but there was a post some pages back with the breakdown (may have been @JPick , @Luscious_Malfoy , @leroybrown10 or @cdinardo21 ). I think the only bottle LC got exclusively this year was Derivation Grand Cru and one of the Old Ale Hair of the Dog collabs (which didn't last long enough for many or most LC to get). Everything else went to Public (whether solo or in a package). Many (most?) of the package releases also ended up as in-person solo-bottle to-go sales. Also, all of the Anniversary bottles were public in-person only. Beyond that, several things went to Tavour first (or only?), but didn't sell out and eventually went public, as did the dreaded CWH Espresso Martini, silent barrels (multiple vendors), and TWCP-stuff (I think there were others besides the Silent Barrels, but I've lost track of time).

I guess you could include the Double Vanilla Double Rye as being an LC only bottle (LC got 1), but it was to the public over the bar for 2 or 3 days during stout week at 2/pp.

I just go back to base beers not having adjuncts. Anything else is overthinking it.

I’ll just have to agree to disagree with the BA crew on that one.
