That beer name. Anyone else here at the VB 'young' enough to remember this show?

    Tallboy Tuesday

    Hot tub time!

Interesting detail about the core drilling my beer is sitting on, we got these when we crawled up under the floors at Head Quarters Pacific Air Forces at Hickam AFB, HI circa 1999-2000 laying fiber & CAT 5 cable. This building was hit hard Dec 7 1941, so everyone claims these are from that building. All I know is the exterior bears the pock marks from the attack. I leave you with these cheerful thoughts:stuck_out_tongue:

Ending the night with a new-to-me tripel (I’ll be sippin’ on this for hours, no doubt). I’ve got a special place in my heart for tripels, and I’m glad to have found another! It’s decent enough, particularly by the standards of American-made tripels.
    • My first Schilling beer!
    • #17 rated tripel on the site!
    • My 175th tripel rating!

It's Rhonda Shear ... "UP! ... all night". We never missed an episode in College. It was "Miami Vice" and "Up All Night" every Friday night.

I saw your rating on the paulaner though, and found out I was confused as well. I never reviewed the Paulaner, just did now. I think Stegl and Waterloo from Canada were my top rated before the paulaner on grapefruit radlers. I've had a handful. Schofferhoffer is tasty too.

Melvin Brewing The Dry Hopper's Guide To The Galaxy. 8/2020 can :grimacing:. Great fluffy head retention and soapy lacing on the glass. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, apricot, passion fruit, honey, toasted bread. Taste follows through with red grapefruit, tangerine, apricot, passion fruit, wood, peppercorn, pine, citrus rind, honey, toasted bread, herbal, floral, grass. Large sized pine, citrus rind, herbal, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; balanced creamy/bready malts and sticky/resinous hop mouthfeel. Lingering resin dryness with mild increasing woody astringency after the finish. Overall now terrible for the age, it's a bit too rough and pretty boozy with lingering heat of 9% after the finish. Given the age I will still be generous with a 3.75/5

I just remember USA Up All Night being as close to titillation as you could get as a teen if your parents didn’t have Showtime or Skinemax :joy:

Very nice! I was at their early start-up location during San Diego Beer Week back in 2011 with @PhineasMcClintock and remember their beer being really good! At the time they were in a small modular type of location in an industrial park.

We stopped by their location in Alpine which, back in the day, used to be Alpine Brewery’s brew pub (just down the street from the original Alpine Brewery now current McIlhenney). Cheers!

I remember during that same Beer Week we were at Alpine also (remember it being a bit of a drive outside of San Diego, at least from where we were staying) and it was a tiny hole in the wall place that was turning out some amazing stuff. Their IPA's were to die for.
