Happy Thursday!! Cheers!!

 

1) Schell's Bock (6.1%): A German Bock from Minnesota with flavors of brown bread, caramel, toasted notes. Smooth, flavorful, and clean.
versus
2) Schell's Snowstorm (6.2%): A Czech Amber lager from Minnesota with flavors of brown bread, red fruit and caramel. Sweet and smooth. (Correctly matched the two blind)

I do this Schell's battle every year because these are two of their best beers. First is their Bock. German bread, toasted notes. Strong flavors and smooth. Excellent.
Next is Snowstorm. An interesting Red Lager here that drinks wonderfully. Rich caramel and amber notes. Rich and smooth.
I think I like the flavors of the Bock better, but the Amber is distinct and one of the best I've had for the style. Schell's makes some great dark lagers.
