Good Sunday afternoon! First, let me join others in thanking @LarryV for hosting the BA Zoom. It's such great fun; the time just blows by. We discuss all kinds of things, from pets to music to electric vehicles - and of course beer. It's a blast getting to know some of the Virtual Bar and NBW regulars on a sociable basis!

I'm having my first 2025 Silk City BA Imperial Stout variant. This one is called AOMAS and it's conditioned on toasted coconut, cocoa nibs, and salted caramel. What's great about it is that it isn't overly sweet. The salted caramel really shines. Cheers!

Just think. SN will be brewing the next batch in a little over 6 months.

Cracking into a Schilling Vienna lager for the first time. It’s the #2 Vienna on BA, but I gotta say, it’s not my favorite. Like, it seems well made, but they’ve gone in a flavor direction I’m not a huge fan of.

OK, a few more sips and it’s growing on me. Still not my favorite, but honestly not bad.

I’ve really loved how US craft brewers have embraced Czech dark lager these last few years. It’s hard to compete with the stuff in Czechia, but a lot of brewers here are doing yeoman’s work making good examples of the style.

 

This is much better than the Harpoon ...
