Surly Hell Lager (5.0%): A German lager from Minnesota that has flavors of lemonflower with a dry yeasty and pale malt finish.

Another one of Surly's best lagers. Lemonflower, grains, clean. Drinks like a Kellerbier. One of my favorite German Lagers from Surly.

 

That pull-out of Chicago from Lagunitas really shows. That's one of my favorite Coffee Stouts every year and didn't find it once this year. Sad stuff. Hopefully some rebalancing happens.

We tried to get my big Mongo to the vet today. No go. Couldn't wrap him up and he got too stressed so we stopped trying.
My old man Magic lived to be twenty but literally died on my lap on the way to the vet so I'm a bit nervous to say the least.
Absolutely delicious beer though and I'm making corned beef Reubens for dinner. Cheers.

I received an incredible selection of west coast beers from one of the finest BAs, @Nugganooch, on Monday. All week I thought of those beers. The moment has arrived. This is a proper WCIPA. Perfect for the last day of Wisconsin's first winter of the year. After it hits 60 degrees on Monday, winter is coming. I will enjoy tearing through these beers. Thank you, @Nugganooch!

100% agree. Ambar is good. It's not that the pale lager tastes bad. It just has...no taste.
