Giant Jones Baltic Porter (8.2%): A Baltic Porter from Wisconsin with flavors of English cocoa, chocolate, cream, and dry roast. Clean.

One of my first try at Giant Jones Brewing from Milwaukee. This is supposedly one of the best small-batch breweries in Wisconsin. Cool and thoughtful can art. A fantastic Baltic Porter here. English cocoa, somewhat bittersweet, yet clean, dry, and roasty. Not much to improve upon here. Superb can art. Beautiful pour. Great aromas. Flavors don't miss a beat. If this is the standard for Giant Jones I will definitely be trying more. @GreenBayBA what do you think about Giant Jones, have I been missing out?

 

Still in Chicago, this is an ATF for me - the classic WCIPA with some swagger. Absolutely love it.

 

Next up, more local sauce.

Barely cracked 70 this afternoon , storms thru with another round tomorrow afternoon. Drinking a Czechvar.

 

Switched to a jai alai, ipa, to match the apparent in house glasses,

splitting a simple burger. Average dive bar. Nothing crazy,

 

Another Hop Tropical ..



Made a delicious corned beef sandwich on rye with my leftover corned beef.

 

There used to be two or three of us using it years ago, love me some Kenny Powers.

Out of Pocket - Blackstack Brewing - St. Paul, MN - Imperial IPA - 12.4%

I gave it a solid 4 on UT

Home now, and this is up:

Leif's Lager - Hammerheart Brewing - Ely, MN - American Lager - 5.4%

Both beers are tasty.

 

Might be, could be, should be my closer. We'll see.
