Next up is a gift from @Resistance88 - Bourbon County Barleywine from 2013. Pours a super murky brown and zero sound when I popped the cap. Notes over in the cellar thread. Thanks, Tomas! Cheers!

Polishing off a Bankhead Hoofer's Hef after dinner. About to head home to partake of some Slurricane and melt into the couch for the evening.

It's one of the reasons I cook fairly slowly in a home kitchen. I like to organize things, get all my ingredients, get set up; then prepare the aromatics and vegetables and sort by cooking time; sauces (if appropriate).

I could cook much faster (not much faster tonight, since I've never made this before, so I was feeling everything out), but it wouldn't be as pleasant and stress-free, and I feel I'd forget something if I weren't so organized.

Salted ice in fish buckets is some professional-grade shit, man. I don't need to do that at home, for sure, but that's awesome. I rarely need to toss anything into the fridge, even, although sometimes that's the right answer, especially for something like a marinated cucumber salad prepped ahead of time.

    Cheers!

Dragon’s Milk Triple Mash. Earthy darkness. I’m not as jazzed on this as last year’s, but $27/4x18%ers BA…yes, please.

@AdmiralOzone inspired. So we went out for dinner with friends tonight and they actually had Hop Bullet on the beer menu (which I've never seen before, let alone seeing on the shelves in this area). Better yet, they had a "clearance menu" of old beers and the Bullets were marked down to $2/can. As you can see, these are sitting at 15 months old and no way I'd ever order an IPA at that age. The nose was definitely off but it still retained a healthy hop character on the palate. Had two with dinner and then asked if they did beer to go, and they did! Bought the remaining (5) cans in inventory and they sold them off at $1/can => winner!

Now? Back home watching more hoops and enjoying another one! (One of my favorites from SN along with Hoptimum.) I'm really shocked how well this beer held up, a shell of its former self, but still enjoyable and better than alot of younger D-IPA's on the shelf!
