Pretty damn enjoyable. Prairie does adjuncts in BA stouts so well, it’s nice to see them do a very good “plain” one.

 

Goose Island Mig Mango Beer Hug. BB 6/25/25. Fantastic clarity, head retention and lacing for 9.9%. Aromas of big pure vibrant mango juice, with hop notes of tangerine, apricot, berries, citrus peel, and light pine/malt. Taste follows through with big mango, tangerine, white grapefruit, apricot, melon, berry, citrus peel, peppercorn, wood, pine, cracker, bread, herbal, floral, grass. Medium pine, citrus rind, woody bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and body; balanced grainy malts, and sticky/resinous hop mouthfeel. Lingering crisp resin dryness, with no astringency. Minimal warmth of 9.9%. One of the better beer hugs I've had. Great Idaho 7 showcase, with plenty of fruit vibracy. Not much dankness from the hops other than a solid west coast style bitterness and body. 4.09/5

And funny - I pseudo-rooted for them 2 years ago. But once they won, I was over the team I really don't care about in the first place. Plus, Dan is way too intense.

 

I have always liked Porter Moser...not only because he has an awesome name, but he has coached some really good teams. His 2018 Loyola Illinois team went to the Final Four, and his same Loyola team beat my Fighting Illini when they were a number 1 seed a few years later. His Illinois State teams also harassed my Southern Illinois for several years. He is always good, even when beating my teams I respect him a lot. I can't say I'm any kind of Oklahoma fan, but hope he does well.

 

Maybe the first year, but even then.

 

He is a good coach, but he has plateaued in Norman. They got off to a good start & then the grind of the SEC schedule wore them down. Not that the Big 12 was a cake walk.

Oh yeah, agreed. I'm also a huge Lon Kruger fan, who was at Illinois for a little bit. He had a few good seasons at Illinois, but then went to the NBA, and sucked there. Came back to college, and his Oklahoma teams were really good.

When he was at Illinois, he played on my Dad's softball team, and that was always fun to see. I remember taking my dog to one of the games, he accidentally got off the leash, ran on the field and Lon accidentally stepped on his tale. He was so apologetic, for something that was my fault, it was hilarious. He also had a cannon for an arm, I wouldn't be surprised if he played some college baseball, ha.

 

Louie’s Cherry Bounce–a blend of MKE Brewing’s one and two year Barrel aged Imperial Amber Ale, Louie’s Resurrection, finished in used Bourbon Casks with Door County Cherries. The oaky barrel on this beer is insane, and just enough tart cherry to make for some unique and enjoyable beer drinking. @GreenBayBA, Eagle Park is doing some nice things with these MKE classics.

@miwestcoaster, I see your Cyclones are playing in Milwaukee this weekend, hope they fare better than the Golden Eagles tonight.

Tasty. I guess their giving us less beer, first time I've noticed this, looks like a 16 oz. can, but it's 14.9 oz., WTF!
