My son and I are trying Talea's Fresh Coast WCIPA. Not a WCIPA at all. This is a drinkable beer, but that is it.

 

Bauhaus, a German Pilsner from Art History. It is truly an embarrassment of riches for lager drinkers here in Chicago.

Emerging out of Cocoon Brewing ~ Ledgeview, WI
I would say enter this one into the "Hazy Lite" category if you will. Predominant flavors of spicy papaya and ripe pineapple here with a touch of yeasty bite in the finish. Overall nice brew

 

No frills 2 years in Buffalo Trace barrels stout. Pours a slightly opaque dark chestnut brown. Aroma is a faint oak with a light floral note. First sips are a crisp light malt base with a clear Buffalo Trace spiciness and light tannins. The younger stout adds a heavier earthiness on the rear of the wallow. Mouthfeel is medium, which complements the BT nicely. 10.5% ABV is a sweet spot for the size. A very nice brew!

 

My last of these to celebrate another Blues and Cardinals victory. The Blues ended the Avalanche 11game home winning streak by continuing their own 9 game winning streak. Wild are down against the Devils. Would love for St. Louis to grab that first Wild Card spot!
