    Unlikely anyone would ever actually say it, but here is "We Love LA" from Single Hill Brewing in Yakima:

    Mouthfeel is sharp but mellowed by all the suds. Aroma of orange peel and straw. Taste is orange juice with a squeeze of grapefruit. Not very bitter, but that NEIPA woody astringent quality is present in the background, just not so invasive as the usual murks. This one is actually very drinkable and not overly sweet.

    Good afternoon BAdvocates. Doubt that we’re gonna get any more hard freezes around here so turned the sprinklers on this morning. Grass was getting a little brown after this relatively dry winter. Drinking my last Revision Brewing Emerald Bay IPA right now. Decent enough brew.

    1) Hop Butcher Mellotron (7.5% canned 12/29/24): A NEIPA from Chicago with Citra, Azaaca, & Moteuka for flavors of lemon, papaya, and bright citrus.
    versus
    2) Drekker Buttons Aren’t Toys (8.2% no canning date): A NEIPA from North Dakota with Citra and Simcoe for flavors of pineapple, strawberry, and passionfruit citrus. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

    Hop Butcher vs. Drekker IPA Battle. First is Hop Butcher Mellotron. Some nice Citra plus Moteuka for tropical papaya and lime flavors.
    Next is Drekker Buttons Aren't Real, a fresh release from Drekker, but lately I haven't seen canning dates, but rather a clever remark on the bottom of the can. Interesting flavors from a combination of Citra and Simcoe. Lots of passionfruit and pineapple I suppose from the Citra. The strawberry comes from the Simcoe I'm guessing, but not the traditional Citra or Simcoe flavors I'm used to. Some freshness bias here because the Drekker IPA is drinking better today, but overall I think Mellotron was better when fresh.
    Winner: Hop Butcher Mellotron
