Okay - I listened to the blues tune that @AZgman posted and she did a great job. ALl I've ever heard is the pop stuff of hers that they play on the radio. Still, I think Billy Idol is more deserving of being in the Hall of Fame, but I don't make those decisions - lucky for her

 

Pilsner Urquell. Not the freshest can at 6 months, but still some tasty stuff. Bready malts, ever-so-slight sulfur, and an earthy hop presence. Bright, clean, and refreshing.

Today was exchange day. I exchanged most of my monthly income to the local tax collector (real estate and personal property) and various insurance folks.

 

Drekker Buttons Aren't Toys DNEIPA, 8.2% ABV. Pours hazy yellow with a four-finger snow-white head that left foamy lacing, that persisted all the way down the glass. First thing I smelt was spelt, then citrus and tropical fruit. Taste is citrus, tropical fruit, rind, slightly sweet, moderately bitter. Piney afterburp. Slightly juicy mouthfeel, overall excellent.

It's gotten warm around here a couple of times, but not humid. I have a feeling this summer is going to be brutal heat wise. That's why God made beer!!!

This is a fantastic NEIPA, Swamp Head Brewing Gainesville Green NEIPA. Only brewed once a year and scooped up by locals. It's similar to a Laquinta's Born Yesterday, fresh and grassy.

 

Enjoying the back patio. Drinking a Yellow Rose and blasting any wayward flies with my Bug-A-Salt. Simple pleasures. Cheers!

 

Remember 14 or 15 years ago when Zombie Dust was THE “gotta get it no matter what” beer in our beer nerd universe? I was fortunate enough to have a source for that beer - but I liked this one better (and still do) - and it was only available at the brewery (limited release) in bombers.

A behemoth of a WCDIPA, this is still bracingly bitter (86 IBU’s), with loads of grapefruit and resiny pine - and a big dollop of caramalt for balance. World class stuff, IMHO.
