1) BlackStack DDH Spongebath (8.5% no canning date): A NEIPA from Minnesota with Citra Cryo, Mosaic, Cashmere Cryo & Strata for flavors of bright orange, grapefruit, sweet pineapple, and juicy mango.
versus
2) Equilibrium Aqeueous Protractor (8.5% canned 4/2/25): A NEIPA from NY with flavors of pineapple with Eclipse, along with Motueka and Citra for flavors of Valencia orange juice, mango chunks, peaches and cream, and lime gummy candy with a hint of New Zealand grass and pine. (Correctly matched the two blind)

BlackStack and Equilibrium DIPA Battle. First is BlackStack DDH Spongebath. Standard Citra and Mosaic, plus some Cashmere and Strata to give it more citrus and mango flavors. This is big and leans sweet.
Next is Equilibrium Aqueous Protractor. My first try at this. A banger hop combo with Citra, Eclipse, and Motueka. Orange peel, mango flesh, and smooth lime sherbet flavors. This is outstanding. Haven't had a fresh Equilibrium brew for a bit, and it's good to be back.
Winner: Equilibrium Aqueous Protractor

@VABA Love your Stone IPAs. How do you like this Delicious series compared to the OG Stone IPA? Better? Worse? or depends whatever is fresh?
I didn't like the gluten-free compromise at first, but over time I have grown to appreciate this series. The perfect flavors, bitterness, and drinkability of the OG Stone IPA is hard to beat, but I found this has quite a bit of bitterness and hop flavor too. Don't know that I've ever done a side-by-side battle though. I guess I haven't found both fresh at the same time, but still going with the OG Stone. You seem to drink the OG Stone more, so figured I'd ask!

I picked up two cases at Costco, which included the Delicious and Delicious Citrus, also had Hazy IPA and OG Stone IPA. They were all great, but my preference is the OG Stone IPA, it is just very well made and well balanced. Nowadays, every month, I usually pick up a 12 pack of OG Stone IPA for $16.99, a great value. Also, we have a Stone brewery in Richmond, Va, and the dates for all the beers that I purchased at Costco were within a month of canning (and so are the 12-packs at Total Wine). Cheers!
