    Winner combo, I only had one Cheesesteak ever in California, couldn’t call it a proper Philly cheesesteak. Also heady topper is something!

    Howdy folks. I've an electrical contractor at the Haus installing a 110 CFM fan/light in our main bthrm and installing a receptical in a broom closet for re-charging stuff. The tech is doing excellent work. So, waiting to have my 1st beer...11:30 now...boom! Noon. Done.

    Deep, rich mahogany color at the pour; nearly opaque dark brown and red hues in the glass; one-finger thick foam cap; densely spongy; long-lasting. Alluring nose; dense sweetness, almost maple syrup-like; dry oak and vanilla; tobacco. Incredible medley of flavors; maple syrup, decent sense of smokiness; vanilla and cinnamon, peat; tobacco juice; vague suggestions of dates and figs; whisky. Heavy mouthfeel; dense and chewy; fairly bold alcohol heat.

    What an amazing barrel aged beer! Compared to last year's Deadline - Vanilla Maple, this was takes things to another level. The richness and complexity of the taste is mind-blowing. A beer best experienced to understand the true delight that it brings to the palate.

    Brasserie Ratz (France) ‘R de Ratz’ IPA.,. Cheers!

    I rated a bottle of this 3.27/5 a year ago. The draught rating is only slightly higher. It’s a tad soapy, hop shy, but nicely bitter.,.

    Thanks. Even better tasting, the smoked wood comes through so well. I savored it for close to an hour.

    I typically only buy packed German beer from Schlenkerla or Ayinger, no need to go beyond those two GOATs.

    Last year I had a "Philly" cheesesteak in California from a food truck run by a couple from Philly. It had Italian hot peppers on it and I thought I would need to go to the ER... freakin' hot!!!!

    It’s tasty for sure. I think that was @TheIPAHunter who probably nudged me a bit about having a Philly cheesesteak that wasn’t really a “Philly” one if I had it in a dinner in California. Cheers.
