Happy Wednesday, WBAYDN! With my elbow surgery, it feels like it’s been forever since I was here. I’m still wearing a brace from shoulder to hand but the hard meds have been stopped for a good 6-7 days. Thought I’d try a test beer to see how everything feels. Cheers!

Blind Corner Booter IPA (Citra, Simcoe, Mosaic). The drinkability and refreshingness of this one, along with the zesty hop character, really does it for me. Spritzy tangerine, lime, and grapefruit flesh and peel, slight blueberry, some earthy pine. Soft, yet crisp and dry. Great stuff.

Thanks Mickey!!! Truth be told, I didn't really like the corned beef. It was cooked fine, and tender, but it was "grey" corned beef, and I really did not like the flavor of it. I like the traditional "red" corned beef myself so I'll stick with that in the future. I thought the grey stuff had an odd flavor to it. But, it was on sale relatively cheap so I figured I'd try it. I think the local grocery store brined it themselves since it was in a plastic wrapped container. If so, they need to find a better method.
