I'm watching the streaming coverage of the US Open on Peacock, the Johnson -Rahm- Spieth threesome. Lightning struck and Trillium CONGRESS STREET appeared here this week.

 

I have not been able to check in this week cause of crazy work and stuff...and two legends pass away on us in that time...

Next up here at Wunder is Morning Juice hazy IPA from Substance Brewing; I think they’re a contract brewery here in Hungary. Not perfect, but not too bad.

This new to me brew is tasting mighty fine - another quality Ohio made beer!

2) Dovetail Kölsch (4.6%): A Kölsch-style ale from Chicago with flavors of toasty Munich bread malts and yeast. Clean and dry.
versus
1) Fair State Köld (4.7%): A Kölsch-style ale from Minnesota with flavors of vinous, citrus, and orchard-fruit yeast flavors atop a pale malt body. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Dovetail vs. Fair State Kolsch. Dovetail is slighty more bready and smooth. Fair State leans more fruity and tart. Both excellent.
Winner: Dovetail Kolsch

 

Back to Sand City here ba. Fade to jade, ipa (citra, mosaic, amarillo). Nice batch- weedy and dank with subtle citrus fruit notes. One of the better single ipa’s you’ll find,

Crown Universal Lothario IPA. Ruby red grapefruit flesh and peel, floral, some tangelo, pine resin. Crisp, clean, and straightforward. Enjoyable stuff.

Internet is out, so I grabbed some brews and headed to my bud's place for some US Open action.

Crown Java Porter. Great coffee flavor without being overly bitter. Roasted malts, slight caramel, cocoa powder, and creamy dark chocolate play in the background. Smooth and creamy that drinks heftier than its abv. I dig it. This local neighborhood brewery cracks out some solid brews.
