Noble Beast Eisbock - An Eisbock??? Yeah, creative name, but this time I'm pretty sure the only Eisbock I have ever had is the one that everyone probably thinks of. And this... is a very well done labor of love. As always is with these guys. Heavy and syrupy per style, but also pleasantly malty, fruity, warming, and even a bit more, like any good glass of something fireside on a cold winter's night. Except the opposite of that last bit today.

Don't suppose we'll ever see this one again... :l

Three Floyd’s Zombie Dust



Zombie Dust that was “just changed out” looks and tastes a little off. Really only come here once a month on the $20 off special I get each June.

 

I’ve been in Boston the past two days for work. Yesterday, I visited Trillium in Canton and it was AWESOME (but no pics - phone crapped out). Today, I’m sitting at the bar at Jack’s Abby in Framingham.

I’m so happy I could cry.

First up is Hoponius Union, a world class IPL, IMHO. I could drink this until it came out my ears.

Hit up the Super Walmart for some supplies, now around back of the store setting up shop for the evening…Other Half’s “All Citra Everything”:



I think this is my favorite OH hazy…I buy it every time it pops up on Tavour, and my drinking buddies get some when they order direct from the brewery. I bought this can at the Washington DC brewery a couple of weeks ago…Delish!

Outer Range Apex XPA (El Dorado, Mosaic cryo, Centennial, Citra cryo). Floral, some earthiness, some ruby red grapefruit flesh and peel, slight diesel, some pine resin. Light, airy, and refreshing. It's solid.

 

Back safe and sound at the old homestead. Russian River Robert saison, a glorious beer on a glorious day.

#2, Shipping Out Of Boston, an excellent amber lager. Lots of toffee and caramel, and a nice bit of floral hops. Really well done, IMHO.
