    Thanks for the kind words yesterday @Nugganooch and @eppCOS !

    Stocked up yesterday for extra new beers in case @Todd opens early for the holiday. This one wasn’t new (4.25 overall) so popped open now planning for perhaps a trip to Water Street.

    Have a good Thursday. Came out to LA castenita for lunch with my wife. I finished Skunk Works by Ben R Rich last night and it was awesome. Also finished Biography of the Pixel by Alvy Ray Smith co-founder of Pixar. A good biography and history of computer. The book structure was pretty disjointed to read.

    Sycamore Serveza. Great fruit lager. Aromas and flavors of big blood orange juice, lemon, lime, cracker, white bread, wood, peppercorn, pine, herbal, floral, grass. Medium pine, herbal, woody bitter finish. Medium plus carb and light med body. Crisp clean refreshing finish. Balanced grainy malt and sticky hop mouthfeel. Light resins and increasing drying. No astringency. Nearly bone dry finish. Very flavorful for 4.7%. Love it. 4/5

    Trying out another new beer for me from a friend at Good People Brewing in AL. Hazy Snake 6.9% ABV. Not bad. Made with Idaho 7, Citra, Cascade, Mosaic, and Simcoe hops. Tropical and citrus fruit aroma and flavors. Moderately sweet. Very low bitterness. Flaked oats and wheat give it a pillowy, full bodied mouth feel. I think this would satisfy any hazy IPA fan. Cheers!

    I absolutely love this song. Reminds one of lazy summer days in the South. Find a shade tree by the river bank. Cast your line. Who cares if you catch something or not. Peace and quiet is just fine.

    Good afternoon, BAs! I'm officially on weekend, and I guess technically on holiday, although I'm not in the mood to celebrate either. Tomorrow promises to be the worst 4th of July of my life thus far (and hopefully never to be surpassed). Not the worst day, but easily the worst Independence Day. Ahh well. Better days ahead, for sure.
