    I’m on the wrong side of half way through Vegas vacation, plotting out more new places to check out as I enjoy this cold one from the refrigerator. Sox schedule allows for a pre and post game outing, if I don’t procrastinate.

    1) Portage Chatter Chatter (4.8%): A Czech Pils from Minnesota with flavors of pale malts, light lemon, salty and crisp finish.
    versus
    2) Bauhaus Zizkov (5.2%): A Czech Pils from Minnesota with flavors of pale malts, buttery bread, yeast, and a salty bitterness. (Correctly matched the two blind

    Portage vs. Bauhaus Czech Pils Battle. First is Portage. Bright lemon, salty, lightly tart. Excellent.
    Next is Bauhaus. A bit more rich, smooth and butter. Also very nice.
    Slight win to Bauhaus.
    Winner: Bauhaus Zizkov

    My ratings remain the same except for the taste. It has a fuller, spicier character compared to late December of last year. I'm liking this a lot more.

    Clear, pale gold body; dense, slow-rising carbonation; thick, frothy head, white and lasting. Excellent delicate malt grain base supporting a mildly spicy hop nose; bread crust; lightly floral. Nice taste; very light malt grain base; excellent hop bitterness; delicate toastiness. Medium bodied mouthfeel; soft residual sugar note; delicate dryness.

    Overall, this is a decent little beer. The taste, while well-rounded, does come across a bit weak and watery.
