    1) Einbecker Brauherren Pils (4.9%): An authentic German Pils with flavors of earthy pale malts, bread, yeast. Smooth.
    versus
    2) Ayinger Pilsner (5.3%): An German pilsner with flavors of earthy, pale Munich malt, bread, yeast, and floral notes. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

    German Pils Battle. First is Einbecker. Earthy, lightly sweet pale Munich malts. Authentic and excellent.
    Next is Ayinger. Very similar, with a slightly more yeast profile. Both outstanding and authentic. Slight win to Ayinger.
    Winner: Ayinger

    Pours a clear, pale yellow; dense, slow-rising carbonation; thick head, white and frothy with fair density. Great aroma; tropical fruit tones with a hint of freshly mowed grass; papaya. Clean taste; citrus notes; white grapefruit; spicy hop flavor; well-balanced hop bitterness. Medium body; crisp with a slight raspiness on the tongue; delicately dry.

    There is no age statement on the can, but I'm thinking this beer has some age to it...regardless, it still tastes fantastic overall.
