What beer are you drinking now? #4684

Thanks for the info! It looks like they have efficiently updated their to go beer. I still remember having to physically carry four cases to my car which was about a 100 yards away. I could not do that today! But, I still like Charlton better, the setup, the layout, the more relaxing atmosphere (in Deerfield you have to walk an inside maze through a huge building to get to the bar! I thought I would die of dehydration during that walk!). I would have gone to Charlton, but it added another two hours to my already 7 hours trip, and then I had to drive to Lawson’s and then the Alchemist (stayed at a place a block away from it).

ps-Also, I remember someone saying Heady is overstated and overpriced, well everyone is entitled to their opinion, but Heady at $13 a 4-pk is arguably the best value beer in the whole universe, albeit I have not been to any other universe! (well maybe perhaps when I drink a few of them on hand tap at the source! )

Festbier and football! Enjoying the original brew of Bavarian kings.

Tried regaling my family with tales of Hofbrauian game of thrones intrigue during our visit to Germany earlier this month, which I learned from the video (I assume) @JackHorzempa posted, but they weren’t as impressed as I was.

Another thing that impressed me during the trip was the $2.12 half liter pours in Prague. Heady Topper at the source is indeed one of the best deals in beer to be had in the Eastern U.S., @VABA, but drinking in Central Europe is even even better deal — if you could magically teleport there.

 

So much drama with yellow beers. Stouts and barleywines never have drama. Well, maybe from Missouri. I keed, I keed.

 

ps-I have repeatedly try to emulate him, (not in the trying to be funny as I never would have been successful, but in the fake what shall remain nameless for faith reasons, but have, unfortunately, not been successful!

 

Unfortunately, I have not been there in a very long time.

 

I reckon this one shall get my Saturday going BA

 

Didn’t get to respond to @miwestcoaster last night. I’m currently working in Alaska 3 hours away from town so my beer choices are extremely limited. Miller High Life and the other macros are the only options I can request. Surprisingly, I was just sent into town on Tuesday for the first time since mid-June so I made a very quick detour and picked up some different brews! A steady diet of MHL was getting a bit tiresome!

 

Disclaimer : My apologies to one and all here at the virtual bar for drinking an over-valued and over-price beer! What was I thinking!?! Unfortunately, I don’t have too many other options, regards from a fellow virtual BA.

Hello folks! Looks like our fearless leader @Todd fixed the connectivity issue from ystrdy. Thanks!! Started storming here about 5:30 am. Super heavy. Holy buckets. I can't recall a wetter summer since moving here. Makes me thirsty for a beer!
I've noticed in the last yr that while I really enjoy the tastes of NEIPAs, my body hates them. I can have 1 per day. They wreck my gut. Other beers don't do it. Well, at least I can enjoy one. Let's do it LesDeWitt ...as soon as a dude arrives to buy some online stuff. Old banana plug HV electrical testing equip. $130 beer cash

Yep, the Czech Republic (Prague) is indeed a great deal! Not only are the beers inexpensive but the food as well. When I visited Prague in 2019 we were able to obtain very good meals (dinners) for around 10 bucks at the various pubs/restaurants.
