Another “wow” beer in my favorite stout series.

@GreenBayBA, checked out flights into three WI airports that Monday and Sunday, and the prices are prohibitive. There’s a slight chance I’d drive up if you convince @The_Kriek_Freak to join me, but with it a Monday night game, work stuff closer to the moment will factor in. Either way, you’re welcome to be my +1 to a Philly-area share that Saturday.

Overall a solid American lager. Clean, light and refreshing.

 

Walk through the market done…bought some veggies…now in the street side bar cooling off and drinking an IPA with a new friend - Elysian Space Dust IPA:

That’s a great way to start a Philly day. The Beers offers two great suggestions.

The straight beer today was better than my Saturday variant, but still lacked what I was searching for.

Full review linked above, full New Beer Sunday #1069 take linked here. The bottom line is the cherry raised the sweetness level beyond necessary, and this beer only offered hints of the rye and bourbon I most hoped to experience.

 

McGillin's House Lager (Brewed by Tröegs) 4.5%abv
This is actually brewed by Tröegs just for them. I thought maybe they just rebranded a core beer, but nope. It's very good on a humid summer day walking around Philly.
