Getting into a Westbrook Brewing (Mt. Pleasant, SC) Coconaughty Old Fitz BA beer acquired at a festival i volunteered at last July. The base beer rested in barrels for nearly 4.5 years and is infused with cocoa, vanilla, almonds, and coconut. Initial thought was this might be too sweet but the two different barrels this rested in brought a nice heat, flavor, and balance. Rated 4.47 overall.

Happy Thursday ba. Gloomy and windy here thanks to the shit Hurricane coming up the Atlantic. Done w/ work decently early so into it I go.

Fort point, riwaka dh ipa, Trillium. Decently hop forward w/ muted fruit notes. This is really a far cry from the base that I had the other week. No real snap, no dank, and just really kinda meh? So far, I’m not a big fan of riwaka and will likely avoid it,
