    Getting close to wrapping up the Giro. Great race so far. This week's cool-off came at the right time for shifting to fall beers.

    I always find CL a bit disappointing compared to their small-batch marzen and festbiers, but then the glass is suddenly empty...

    For some reasons I cannot longer quote, so

    @vabeerguy : I used to stop at the Devil’s Backbone Outpost every time I would drop off my daughter at VT, but I have not been there in a while and I had not had a DB Vienna Lager in a while, but in draft it is “same as it ever was” thoroughly enjoyable! Cheers! And have a great weekend!

    Been there once or twice! (at least once hosted by @FBarber) High on my list of places to return to, but probably will try something new tonight. Unless I find a good Polish deli close to someplace I know...

    A little haze to go with some pizza. I wouldn't say that the pizza or the beer make it an Essential Haze, except that it is such, by name. I think a clear west coast or even a Pilsner would work, as well. But since this is a good offering by Port City.- it is working very well.

    Enjoying a fine German style lager from Schilling. It was born in February, but it is still drinking very good, wonderful beer!
