Today, it's chilly but still oh, so beautiful, out here in McGregor. The glory of autumn in rural southwestern Ontario. Both Gracie and Sundae were excited to help me check out my three new beers for today: First, my fourth brew from Wellington Brewery (of Guelph, Ontario)--their 6.1% Queen of Craft IPA (25 cents from each can goes to support Guelph-Wellington Women In Crisis). It's shown, poured, with articles on the cult classics Straw Dogs (Sam Peckinpah, 1971) and Vertigo (Alfred Hitchcock, 1958), both of which I'd heartily recommend...



Next, it's my second experience from Canvas Brewing Company (of Huntsville, Ontario)--their 5.2% Ember Red Ale...

Finally for today, it's my twenty-first of nearby Windsor, Ontario's Chapter Two Brewing Company's handiworks--their 4.7% Zug Island Porter...

All three beers are also shown bookending articles on the cult classics, two excellent films--Mildred Pierce (Michael Curtiz, 1945); and The Night of the Hunter (Charles Laughton, 1955), for no particular reason...



Tomorrow: Three more new beers for me to appreciate, from the following breweries:
--Whitewater Brewing Company (Cobden, Ontario; my fourth beer from the establishment);
--Clifford Brewing Company (Hamilton, Ontario; my third); and
--Cowbell Brewing Company (Blyth, Ontario; my eleventh)...

Was that a pale IPA?

 

Publix now has Celebration!! CO 9/24/25. About the only fresh hop beer one can find in the relative beer desert of the Sunshine State. Always amazed at the lacing this beer has. Hell yeah!!

 

Are you trying to get me in trouble!
