    Cross posting from the imperial stout thread:
    Getting into a Calgary find back in July from Brouwerij Frontaal from the Netherlands. This was packaged in March 2021, aged in Scotch and Bourbon barrels. Not sure why i picked it up other than to see what a Euro BA stout is all about.
    Scotch barrels are always overpowering for me but have to say after 4.5 years the barrels have melded very nicely. There is that Scotch slight edge but only to make it complimentary and not dominant. Getting some vanilla. Hopping is enough to balance along with the barrels.
    Rated 4.19.
