    From a newly-discovered lineup of beers here in western Michigan from Goldfinger, this Pils is the first that I opened of 4 beers that I grabbed. I had this one 4 years ago during a trip to the Chicago area and discovered then that this brewery makes first rate beers. I'm happy to welcome them to Michigan.

    They had them only in singles @ $3.49 each, so figure $14.00 for a 4-pack of pint cans.

    Drekker Leisure Suits & Laser Beams Czech Amber Lager, 5.2% ABV. Pours pitch-brownish with a two-finger beige persistent head that left foamy lacing. Aroma is sweet and roasty chocolate malt. Taste is roasty malt with moderate hop bitterness, lightly sweet. Decent mouthfeel, overall excellent.

    Visit Japan Rice Lager from Oakshire Brewing in Oregon

    Pleasant aroma of cereal. Plenty of carbonation on the tongue with a thickish mouthfeel. This tastes rather grainy, and not much like rice. Fairly sweet with a touch of peach, which is nice, but little or no hop relief. But think of it as an excellent Blonde Ale with a tangy finish and you'll like it better.

    Human Robot's Rösten - a smoked Helles style Lager - made with yeast from a previous batch of their smoke malted Rauchbier. Can't be seen in the pic but poured out with tons of floaties. The smoke aroma/flavor is subtle, the lightest of any Rauchbier I've had before. Wish I had Schlenkerla's Helles to compare:

    Another one from the Goldfinger beers that I discovered. I liked this one better than the Pils.
