    Took the day off of work and figured I'd drink the brews from this years Warped Wing's Esther's Li'l Secret release:

    Both were good, but I did like the rye barrel aged version more. Also both were better on tap the brewery a few days ago, cheers everyone!

    Oh, this is a fine straight rye barrel aged beer. It oozes depth and complexity while delivering a fine, balanced tasting experience.

    ...a fine Monday adult beverage opening series after a relatively productive morning (health and welfare check on a fellow BA -- all's well, fed the Venus flytrap, let the dog take me for my morning walk, addressed some retirement income questions with our financial advisor, kept Mrs. BeerGoot focused on her cold / flu medications, minor household chores)...

    It's always a good time for a Shed. I was about to say that I know they brew other stuff but I always just call this Shed; then I checked their website and everything except this and some hazy are listed as retired. I hope that isn't the writing on the wall...

    We left the cabin this morning with a thin-ish white veil, officially 1.5-2" of snow...

    ...to get home to a Long Black Veil, officially a black IPA by Port City.

    The balance of white-coated trees with a smattering of evergreens and deciduous trees that had shed the snow was in the rolling mountains was a nice treat for the first part of the drive home.
