I guess the Irish beers get short shrift around the Octoberfest / November / December holiday periods. Never fear though! We’ll get it all caught up…. Beermeister32 is an equal opportunity drinker!

Sullivan’s produces my absolute favorite Irish Red Ale. Their Maltings Irish Ale is indeed malty but totally balanced, it’s actually a refreshing Red Ale. Excellent head, and the lacing is unreal!!!!

Sullivan’s has been producing great Ales like this since 1702. Maltings Irish Ale is a 5% ABV brew, which means you can have a few of these at the pub without falling off your barstool. Cheers!

The Lady Hoosiers won a close one against Florida State. Splitting this with Thing 1 while watching our guys barely hold on. :no_mouth: Up next, Purdue.

This tastes and feels like a somewhat flat Sprite. The only thing witbier-ish about this beer is the notes of orange peel and coriander, otherwise, this beer is a bust.

On the positive: Nate at Tree House loves Genny Cream ale

On the negative: @Blogjackets says Genny Cream Ale is a 10 for the first sips , a 2 for the rest of the glass

Schoen has to go, too. The GM is too important a position within management. When the G-Men have a good GM, like George Young and Ernie Accorsi, they do well. Compare to the Eagles, who are a perennial playoff team. In my opinion, Schoen is incompetent. I have the same opinion of Brian Cashman of the Yankees. Cashman is worse since there is no salary cap in MLB.

Saucy Ballerina, one of the original beers from Fait la Force in Nashville, and a beautiful example of a sweeter, yeast-forward tripel. I've had it a few times and reviewed it before, but I feel like it holds up well against Belgian brews and is consistently my favorite American tripel due to its abundance of bubblegum and pear flavors as well as extremely high carbonation.

Poured into my new Ethereal Brewing glass, which I bought at the brewery on Thursday. I was in Lexington for my (soon to be!) Fiancé's residency interviews and had a large period of time where I couldn't be with her. I visited the distillery district, but I don't particularly love craft whiskey, and heard Ethereal was one of the best breweries in town. I was the only one at the bar minus a brewer from a spot across the street and enjoyed a flight, with an Amburana-aged strong dark lager and a traditional clean saison being standouts. Apparently Ethereal started as a completely Belgian style brewery but was forced to bring in smoothie sours and adjuncted beers due to their popularity with locals, and is now known as a sour brewery like the other place I visited, Mirror Twin. I thought the saison was incredible and spoke with the bartender about how hard it is to find a proper clean saison, and the conversation was so good I purchased the beautiful glass in the picture for $8(!!!!). I'd recommend it to anyone passing through the area; their beers are at a baseline interesting and well-done, and at best I think worthy of some high praise.

Kind of a bummer though I don’t regularly drink their beer. Distribution led to not much being sent here. Fond memories of Fresh Roast brown ale, but I haven’t seen that one for three or four years.
