Good evening BAs! Uneventful first day of trial; now back at hotel. A little cool for the pool, so I’m in the hot tub, with a a Torpedo:

BB 1MAR26 fresher than the bottles from the Restaurant the other day. Tastes sooo good.

 

1) New Glarus Bubbler (4.0%): A Hefeweizen from Wisconsin with flavors of orange, fruity yeast and juicyfruit with bubblegum, banana, and spices. Clean.
versus
2) Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier (5.4%): A German Hefeweizen with flavors of smooth orange, bread spices of banana and cloves. Yeasty. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Hefeweizen Battle. First is New Glarus Bubbler. Bright and complex flavors and spices. Not overly sweet and extremely well-rounded.
Next is Weihenstephaner, the gold-standard for a German Hefe. Very similar flavors overall. Slightly more of a malt body as expected with the higher ABV. Overall this are nearly identical and probably the reason I think this New Glarus Bubbler is the best hefeweizen I've had in the US.
Winner: Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier

 

Human Robot's Sedlec 12° vs. 3 Sons Obara No.12 - both Czech Style beers - Human Robot's offering has a distinct mineral/clean flavor(lots of HumanRobot beers have this characteristic.. must be the water profile?), 3 Sons beer has a bready/spicier flavor with a fluffier/fuller mouthfeel - Cheers!!

Looks great! There used to be a restaurant in the north end of Boston called The European, they made great everything but their pizzas were like *********s, no 2 ever looked alike.

 

Another Shugga, that's a nice price for beef @gatornation hard to find ground beef that cheap these days.

 

I found Cranberry and pork sausages and yeah, I had to. My wife found some Johnsonville Chorizo Pork Sausages and those dogs were from HEAVEN and I haven't seen them since.
