Auto-pepperoni not around my parts, but definitely a staple. Sausage and banana peppers is a fav of the wife, and I like a good Hawaiian, although only from one particular pizzeria.

Looks like a Detroit style, with the high golden crust. We keep a frozen Detroit pizza in the freezer for those quick and easy dinner days. Pretty good. Can’t remember the name top of mind.

 

That’s the only place I’ll get a Hawaiian. No cherry nonsense, just great sweet sauce with loads of cheese and just enough pineapple and ham (for anyone who think any pineapple and ham on pizza is allowable).

Resident Culture Team Scream DIPA (Peacharine, Nectaron, Citra, Strata). Been a minute since I've had a Resident Culture beer (6 years to be exact). Was blown away by their IPA's before. This one doesn't reach that level, but it's still a solid hazy DIPA. Passionfruit, nectarine, some lime, orange candy, orange and grapefruit peel, pine with some malty presence for balance. Decent.

 

It is Detroit style - I've tried a couple of others but this one I found to be impressive. Was $12 per pizza.

Hawaiian pizza gets dissed a lot but I like a good Hawaiian pizza as well. I find the slight acidity and sweetness of the pineapple really complements the pizza sauce. Cheers!!

 

Never seen it around here but I will look for it. Coincidentally tonight is the Mrs B'day and I'm making her favorite homemade dough and mushroom pizza. Loaded with mushrooms and I use truffle Burrata and mozzarella pearls.
