Happy Wednesday BAs! Today I'm returning to an old favourite, Square Nail Pale Ale from Publican House Brewery in Peterborough, Ontario. Really nice old school pale ale. Cheers!

 

We were in Aruba yesterday and the Island was also buzzing. One taxi driver wanted Jamaica the other Curacao it was extremely cool. Then our driver today was so happy. Cheers

 

Happy Anniversary!

 

Stuck in a cool cloudy/rainy period here with temps in the low 60’s. Clouds hanging low all day.

 

1) Weihenstephaner Festbier (5.8%): A German Festbier with flavors of pale malt, smooth honey, cereal, pale Munich malts. Smooth.
versus
2) Hofbräu Oktoberfestbier (6.3%): A German Festbier with flavors of pale malts, smooth bread, earthy honey and some dank Munich malt flavors. (Mismatched the two blind)

Festbier Battle. First is Weihenstephaner. Pale, malty, earthy notes. Excellent. Nest is Hofbrau. Very similar. Slightly more earthy malts, but I actually found them more similar than I expected.
Winner: Weihenstephaner

Rain was always exciting to get while in PHX. Still get the same thrill here in WNC despite getting 50 inches or so per year. Enjoy the weather!
Here we are having a lovely partly cloudy upper 60's day. Getting into a 2025 edition of Parabola. Yes, i find it still to be world class, so dangerously drinkable!

Really nice 80 degrees and sunny. WC shows 83 and sunny for the next 7 days. Jai Alai canned 10-23 is tasting great!

 

Interesting. I have found the same. Beers that I thought would be different ended up to be more similar than I expected. maybe it is because of going back and forth between two mixes them up, or melds your perception.
