Enjoying a Sierra Nevada 2024 Alpha Hops Society BA brew that is kind of like a Manhattan. This begins with Bigfoot already aging for six years and resting on tart cherries for much of that time blended with wheatwine aged only in bourbon barrels — except for a single aromatic bitters barrel. Interesting beer!

No photo, sorry, but I've got a Leffe Rituel 9˚.

I'm in Bologna, Italy but my wife won't let me leave the hotel room so this (and a few others) are all I've got. I'm not complaining BUT at the same time there are beers literally a few footsteps away that I can't get access to in the U.S.

For those of you who are asking why I'm not allowed out, it's not because I'm a crazy like Ozzy Osbourne, it's just because she wants me to be in the room with her, so OK, I can live with that.

 

Got some turkey legs rolling now. I dry brined them overnight with some curing salt so they should be good for 3-4 hours of cold smoke
