A special beer for a special occasion. Just pulled the turkey out of the oven.

Doing our Thanksgiving meal here today to accommodate family travel plans.

This is a Schilling Collab with Goldfinger.

It's a recreation of a 19th century German Helles-Alt.

Of course it is all sorts of crazy delicious!!

Good morning BAdvocates. Drinking a Payette Brewing Recoil IPA while doing some rather irritating computer work. This beer is tasting pretty decent, but exploding cans are not my friends!

Done with work until next Monday - having a SN Pils. I like this beer - crisp, clean, and refreshing. They go down real easy

 

1) Little Thistle Mist & Shadow (4.5%): A Czech Dark Lager from Minnesota with flavors of dark graine, earthy, and roast. Clean and dry.
versus
2) Back Channel Zero (5.25%): A Czech Dark Lager from Minnesota with flavors of dark malt, cocoa, light roast. Smooth. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Little Thistle vs Back Channel Dark lager battle. Sorry for my fat thumb I had to crop out of the photo. First is Little Thistle. A Czech dark lager. Clean, dark, and roasty. Mildly bitter. Excellent Czech dark. Next is Back Channel. Similar, but a bit more dark cocoa and smooth malt body.
I really like this clean Czech dark lager from Little Thistle. Perfect for this blustery and snowy day.
