If every things goes as planned I will go to Lakefront tomorrow morning sometime before noon. For the packer game I will have a can of Lakefront 5 year stout, 2024 release.

No particular place to go, I'll just watch cyclocross and beach racing videos and drink beer all day.

G'day mates! and Slap Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate...maybe with some SN Celebration even:grin: It's great to be here. So, I wanted this beer 24 hrs ago but my stream-of-conscious lifestyle this week didn't go down the path.
Here she is now, from @Todd and the BA BIG BEER BOX '25:

Dimensional does the 'barrel' in barrel aged pastry stout better than anyone I've encountered.

Having a bit of dessert before a midday lunch of steak and lobster. Neither of us really enjoy turkey or the hassle of cooking it. A small group of us, my brother and my PBR drinking wife and her twin sister. I'll be grilling in the small amount of snow we got yesterday. I said I'd grill unless there was 10 or more inches of accumulation.

Happy Thanksgiving BAdvocates! I’m drinking what could be my final Dead Guy Ale :slight_frown: I still have a couple more bottles left, but right now I’m saving them in case my buddy wants ‘em.

Hope everyone has a great day filled with family/friends and good food!

Genesee Cream Ale to start of my Thanksgiving. Provided by @TCgenny of course

And, one more time...with feeling this time...spinning Alice's Restaurant of course

For anyone interested the full movie is on YouTube for free :sunglasses:

    Review for Genesee Cream Ale:

Pours a perfectly clear golden/yellow color. A surprisingly effervescent and dense white head forms. With good retention and lace left behind.
Aroma is somewhat neutral and nondescript nose. Some cereal grains, maybe a touch earthy hops.
Taste wise, cereal grains, cracker like malts, cooked corn. There is a bit of an earthy hop, and spicy kick as this quickly finishes.
A medium body, a bit more hefty here than expected. For as effervescent as the head was, this is more moderate carbonation that is a bit syrupy. Not the worst thing drink.

If you were to describe what a generic "beer" is to anybody that doesn't know, this would be it. Right down the middle, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Some local breweries around me have tried to make this style, while not ever going to be a go to for me, they could all learn a thing or two from this classic example. Glad I got to try it, even if its not exactly for me.

    Overall score is 3.31, B-

Some Belgian style Thanksgiving celebration with Thing 1 and a photobomb compliments of my wife. We're keeping it simple today (by request), no turkey and a big spread ... making some homemade soups and homemade bread along with some other sides. Perfect. It's all about spending time with the family and giving thanks, easy prep, easy clean-up, perfect. (With beer and sports to watch later today, of course. :sunglasses:)

You and/or your PBR-drinking wife should join us for the Infamous Minnesota BA Bottle Share 2026 near Target Field the night before Easter. @LesDewitt4beer is going to make a special hotdish.
