Miskatonic Bell Witch release was yesterday, so why not venture out into the maelstrom today for a Rye Bell Witch and a Rum Barrel Aged Bell Witch?

 

I was hoping to head to Little Falls to get some Bourbon County. The snow said no to that. Might as well enjoy some good beers.

Cervontes - Miranda Rye IPA

 

I'm drinking a can of Lakefront Big Easy Imperial Maibock. best by 08MAR2026 7.6% ABV

I remember drinking this one years ago. Time flies was it 10 years ago or was it 20?
I also remember buying a 6 pack one year. it was good I wanted more but could not find anymore. It came out the next year so a bought two 6 packs right away. but it was terrible.

This is a good beer. It kinda taste like a old school American imperial pilsner.

It's malty smooth and sweet. Flavor is grain, corn. Some earthy hops with a micro hint of floral.

4.08/5 today as a old school American imperial pilsner style. This will not cut it as a modern Maibock

ISIL cross-post. This new size makes temptation overwhelming. This year's release is right in my wheelhouse, blending the flavors together perfectly. Philadelphia Eagles fans, the house across the street is Zack Baun's brother's house.

 

Goose Island BCBS Chocolate Praline BBA Imperial Stout, 14.6% ABV. Pours thick and black with a half-finger medium-brown head that left an oily sheen. Aroma is dark chocolate, pralines, and bourbon. Taste is chocolate, bourbon, and praline, moderately sweet, slightly bitter, no bourbon burn. Nice thick and smooth mouthfeel, leaving sticky lips. Overall outstanding. I'd like to have had a half-tad more sweetness. I'll get more of this one.

Looking forward to the 'maiden voyage' of my new snow-blower after the storm subsides in a few hours. I haven't fitted it with a beer holder yet, so I'll have to hold it.
