A couple more Sips of Sunshine with butter chicken prep this evening (jarred sauce; never made it before, so I'm going easy).

Found a pack for $8 so I decided to revisit after many years. Really nice beer, goes great with this spicy coconut chicken I made and poured a ton of cilantro on top. I’m good right now.

    Enjoy

I've had Patak's products before, they're very good and pretty authentic tasting. Not spicy though if you're looking for some heat. Cheers!

Didn’t get anything for dinner so it is whatever I can find in the pantry. I did buy some corn chips today when I went to Total Wine. What’s the deal with sea salt?

Love Fonta Flora, found a pack of this beer at WF when I was in NC. Beer was 5 months in the can and was still wonderful. Was as if I was drinking a pine candy liquid. I don’t care for a lot of Fonta IPA but this one is great.

    Enjoy

    Google is your friend ..

People use sea salt instead of regular salt for its distinct flavor, crunchy texture, and minimal processing, which allows it to retain trace minerals that give it a more complex taste. While it is not nutritionally superior because both have the same sodium content by weight, its larger crystal size means less sodium is used by volume compared to fine-grained table salt.

Sea salt differs from regular salt primarily through its processing and mineral content. Sea salt is created by evaporating ocean water, resulting in a coarser, less refined product with trace minerals like magnesium and potassium, and a more nuanced flavor. Regular table salt is highly processed, mined from underground deposits, and often contains additives like anti-caking agents and added iodine

Thanks for the information. I love salt but my BP does not. One of my three BP pills is a diuretic which supposedly flushes out sodium so I can consume as much salt as I want.

The truth is, I wasn’t planning on making a Blender out of this one.

The first part of today’s fiasco involves the mysterious depletion of the IPA I had planned for today from the expansive and temperature-controlled Beermeister32 Bierhoard! So I had PLANNED on another delicious and tasty IPA – but none to be had! That’s OK, there’s still plenty of others patiently lagering away at 38F, waiting their turn!

Next fiasco – my “office” Pilsner glass is holding this fluorescent green caffeined–up soda from today, so why not “sorta” go with my Samuel Smith Ale Glass… hmm that means I need an Ale. Hey, hey..! There’s a Moose Drool in the Bierhoard within easy reach, and that means I don’t have to perform the inglorious and humiliating act of bending over in my office! Score!

So I make the mistake of dumping in the Moose Drool. Well, those Samuel Smith glasses are good for at least a pint and this pathetic little 12-ounce baby can isn’t filling it adequately for a photo shoot. Next band-aid, patch – fixup…. Fill it up the rest of the way with my favorite beer mixer Bud Zero!

So I’m not going to recalculate this thing, I tried it and darned good! A Moose Drool Blender… Cheers!
