Happy Friday indeed ba. Two more weeks and then back to my normal times.

Into it here w/ I don’t know Margo!, ddh iipa (simcoe/rakau), sand city. Nice hop juice and Xmas themed for all you festive bastards,

 

Best beer of the week is usually that first Friday beer after a long work week. 2nd only to that first beer on vacation! Cheers Larry!

 

First time having this 1 from Altstadt. Is done better than I thought it would be too. Good beer, I will be buying more of this.

First beer of the week. Mmm

 

Brutal!

 

1) Toppling Goliath Citra Hop Drop (8.1% canned 10/29/2025): A NEIPA from Iowa with Citra, Simcoe, and Krush for flavors of orange, citrus flower, berries, stonefruit, and tropical grape.
versus
2) BlackStack Honeymoon Phase (8.0% no canning date): A NEIPA from Minnesota with Mosaic and Krush for flavors of bright pink grapefruit, orange, pineapple, dank pine and stonefruit. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Toppling Goliath versus BlackStack battle. Repeating this one. Both has some Krush hops for some stonefruit but also zesty citrus flavors. Both have sort of waned a bit since I first tried them. First is Toppling Goliath. Bright orange and citrus zest here, stonefruit in the background.
Next is BlackStack, more guava and grapefruit here. A lime characteristic. I think this showcases the Krush Hop flavor very well.
Winner: BlackStack Honeymoon Phase

 

Really thirsty today. Digging this Sierra Nevada Snowed In Winter Warmer. Not overpowering, it does the job well.

Slopside IPA

 

Adding from the holiday beer tasting thread: YuleSmith, an imperial red from AleSmith. Big fan of the style. It’s hoppier than others I’ve tried - stands to reason as an IPA, I suppose - but still tasty. (One of my better pictures too.)
