Back to winter reality after a few warm days this past week - going to head south to visit my girlfriend this afternoon - she started a new nursing gig last week, and promptly got a nasty head cold as well!

If you ever wanted to know what the Fighting Illini are...well here you go...Chief Illiniwek's last dance. Its just a white boy dressed up as a Native American doing a dance, can't do this anymore though I was there, my Dad was there working for local paper, The News Gazette.

I’m not sure if you’ve had this particular brew before, but I’d love to hear how enjoyable you found it.

I’m also beginning to plan an Italian beer tasting in the Philadelphia area. One idea I’m exploring is an all-Baladin event, potentially with the blessing of the maestro himself, Teo—though this is still very early-stage.

Congrats to the Bears fans on a hard-earned, well-played victory — respect where it’s due.

As an Eagles supporter, this one’s a reminder that it’s time to put our noses back to the grindstone. And for the non-Philadelphians out there: yes, we’re fiercely loyal, but we can also be our own worst enemy — fans and players included. That honesty is part of the DNA.

Even with deep Philly roots, I’m hyper-aware of our weaknesses, and that awareness is how things tighten up and get better.

Looking ahead to the game later today — up the ales!

 

Good morning all. I’m pregaming with a Goose Island Bourbon County Cherries Jubilee. Bottled 7/24, I’m digging the more subtle refined flavors compared to the Chocolate Praline sugar bomb. Unfortunately the mouth feel and head retention aren’t nearly as impressive as they were with the Praline.
