I've worked in the IT industry long enough to know that problems can occur at any point in the delivery model. Even though it may look like a Verizon issue, it isn't necessarily so. I'm sure Verizon will eventually issue a post-mortem of what happened. For the most part, I have Verizon and have had very few issues with them and I've been a customer for years. Sometimes shit happens, not much you can do about it. Cheers!

ABC News said that a server went down in New Jersey today was the culprit.

Could very well have been the issue. We've had similar outages at the medical school I work for. We're very reliant on Microsoft and when they have an issue it affects everybody. They've had a lot more issues than Verizon based on my experiences.

I had a few back when the mountie rode the horse. I'd say these are sweeter, maybe going for the "new stout drinkers". I lke it a lot but as a burned out ipa fan I would like a stronger less sweet taste....cheers!

Have a good Hump day. Been sleeping all day. I need to get back in the swing of getting to my books again. I just finished Choke by Chuck Palahniuk and it was 3.5/5. A bit weird but funny. Need to Read The Tenant by Freida McFadden next, followed by Cell by Stephen King then I can read all 50 hours of Stalin Volume 2 by Stephen Kotkin. My wife made the air fryer thick cut pepper bacon and cinnamon rolls from Aldi once again.

Great Pines American IPA from Aldi. Great Centennial and Galaxy hops. Balanced juicy and dank, clean malt backbone. I'll be getting another 6 pack.

Totally agree with this take. Large-scale telecom networks are basically layered dependency stacks — physical transport, routing, authentication, DNS, cloud backends, vendor services — any one of those hiccups can ripple outward and look like “the whole network is down.”

The satellite-explosion theory is fun internet lore, but realistically we’re almost always talking about terrestrial infrastructure or backend service dependencies. A single misbehaving update, failed failover, or overloaded authentication cluster can create nationwide symptoms in minutes.

Like you said, the important part is the post-mortem. That’s where the real story always lives.

    Cheers

Cheers!! I'll probably make it to halftime and hopefully Michigan has a big enough lead that there's not a repeat of the Wisconsin game.
