Getting my tax stuff ready for the accountant. It's a pain in the ass, but I've yet to find an alternative. This is making the task more bearable:

Today, it's a beautiful and (hopefully) early spring day, out here in McGregor--and both cats Gracie and Sundae are very happy to help me explore the day's new beers: First, with Sundae, it's my twenty-sixth brew from Etobicoke, Ontario's Great Lakes Brewery--their 8.1% Karmageddon Double IPA...

    Poured...

More beer thoughts in a moment! Cheers, from McGregor! =)

Second, again with Sundae, my eighteenth libation from Toronto, Ontario's Left Field Brewery--the 6% Queen of Baseball IPA...

    Poured...

Finally, this time with Gracie, it's my eighteenth beer from Sarnia, Ontario's Refined Fool Brewing Co.--their 6% Fat Baby Continually Hopped IPA...

Tomorrow: Three more new beers to explore, from the following breweries:
    --Bellwoods Brewery (Toronto, Ontario; my thirty-sixth of their handiworks);
--Left Field Brewery (Toronto; my nineteenth); and
--Rose City Beer Works (nearby Windsor, Ontario; my twenty-fifth)...

Have a great rest of your day, and cheers...from The Responsible Beer Drinking Club! =)

This is the top of Hywy 55 where it comes into MPLS. A bit on the North side of the metro. It's a lovely skyline at night.

Happy Thursday BAs! I'm indulging my sweet tooth this afternoon with a glass of Starry Night Chocolate Stout from Bobcaygeon Brewing Co. in Peterborough, ON. I typically prefer drier stouts, but this is a well-made sweet stout. Cheers!

Private Landbrauerie Schrön -- Schrönramer PIls

    4.27/5 rDev +10.1%
    look: 4.5 | smell: 4.25 | taste: 4.25 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 4.25

Clear, golden body; fair carbonation; thick head, white and dense, very long lasting; soft patches of lingering foam inside the glass. Very inviting nose; hints of biscuit and bread crust; mild floral sweetness; vague earthy spiciness. The taste builds off the smell; bread and biscuit malt backbone; mildly herbal and peppery hop presence; suggestion of lemongrass; bold yet balanced hop bitterness. Medium-heavy body; velvety; mild, tingling dryness overall, offset with a bit of residual sugar stickiness.

This pilsner comes across as very flavorful with fantastic looks and a very fine mouthfeel. It seems a little heavier with the mouthfeel than a lot of pilsners yet remains quite drinkable. This has been a very pleasant surprise to come across another pilsner originating from Germany. Damn good!

Us and about 900 homes/businesses lost power around 12:30 for unexplained reasons, definitely not weather related as it is calm and in the 50’s.
Sipping on an ESB from Burial and Whaley Farms (Old Fort). Chris Whaley has brewed some great low gravity brews but this one falls short for me as the flavors are not popping like Whaley solo efforts. But ESB’s are one of those rarely packaged traditional brews so you have to try it.
    Cheers!
