In addition to my haul yesterday of the two Bourbon County's, today I picked up a nice little 4 pack of this Black Note stuff everyone's been talking about:

 

Yeah, it's just you have to expect to pay for it, which I did. The Wookey Jack and Walker's Reserve were about $4 higher than you would pay on your usual online beer site ($12 each) but at the same time, you're not paying shipping to get it out here so it almost evens out. There's some Russian River product there too, but you're going to pay about twice as much as you would for it and, again, not exactly like that stuff comes around that area otherwise, not even if you go to Vintage Estate. They had some Allagash Curieux and Four as well, but I have a rule about paying $20 or more for bottles right now. Eventually, once I make some more conquests of stuff we don't particularly get out on this side of PA (or if my tax return happens to be particularly exciting) I may go back for those.

 

I figured as much. The location isn't at all convenient to me either so I have to bring myself to drive out there. May have to do so soon on a lazy day.

 

Am I a lucky man.


Those were the last six bottles remaining at the brewery.
Just a few moments later and i would have cried.

 

And I was excited to get ONE in my stocking for Christmas!

 

I'm sure you could have filled those other 50 bottles with your tears

1 BC cherry rye (my only bottle for the season)
But, my best beer buddy, who couldn't reserve his own cherry rye because they're having a child as we speak will be receiving my sole bottle as a gift.....
One day, cherry rye, you shall be mine..... just not this year....
