...feeling good today with being connected online...cut the over-priced, horrible customer support of our cable company and now tethered with a fiber optic company that is (more or less) local...half the price, better internet speeds, and no issues with YouTube TV and other streaming services...this beer tastes good with this utility switch being successful (well, still have to make the scheduled phone call with the cable company on Thursday, but I'm ready to pack up their Xi-6 boxes, cables, and remotes ASAP )...

    Wasatch Brewing Co. -- Devastator
    Double bock lager
    ABV: 8%; pouring temperature: 49.4 °F; canning info: A066 446A
    Source: local purchase

I ran into Billy Corgan (almost literally) at Trees in Dallas way back in mid-90s. His bodyguard was HUGE and stared me back a foot or two.

Unusual but it's porterhouse Monday. I try to keep my red meat consumption to a very reasonable level. Scratch that tonight.
Paired with Brussel sprouts with garlic, fresh mint and Cilantro and fish sauce. It's really delicious trust me.[IMG]

That might be the most positive interaction with Billy I have recounted. Cheers to that!

Have a good Monday BA. Missed the Zoom call Saturday and slept all weekend. Read Iron Curtain by Anne Applebaum in one day and it was amazing. Communist takeover of Hungary, Poland, and East Germany. Controlling radio and the printing presses. 4.5/5. Also read
Early Greek Philosophy & Other Essays by Friedrich Nietzsche and it was another enjoyable quick read from him. A bit challenging to understand.

The 5 kittens are doing great. Roxie did not want to be in the air conditioned room, and instead the hot second bedroom with no A/C. She took them under the sofa in there. I cleaned up all the boxes and took out the trash today. So we are doing ok again.

Wernesgrüner Pils Legende from Aldi. Spot on German pils. Balanced clean pils/munich malt and noble hop flavor profile.

So I had this reminder come up on my computer last night that says "Try the Burial Never Not Longing for Your Despair."
I had purchased a bottle and tasted/rated it last year and guess that is when I put the reminder, but do not remember setting the reminder, obviously no idea why I sent it either!
Anywho, my son and I are enjoying the second bottle I purchased last year and didn't remember having until last night's reminder came up.
Here is Burial's Never Not Longing for Your Despair.

Back up in Lake County, settling in with a Foggy Day IPA from North Coast. After lunch we hit the Charles Schulz museum in Santa Rosa, great stop if you were a fan of the Peanuts gang back in the day. Mrs CC is ready to channel her inner Lucy and dispense some life advice per her usual LOL!
    Cheers!
