1) Toppling Goliath Fire, Skulls, & Money (7.8% canned 1/20/26): A NEIPA from Iowa with Citra, Mosaic, Galaxy, and Nelson for flavors of grapefruit and orange citrus flower, vinous white grape, gooseberry with some pine and berry to balance. Juicy, complex, and clean
versus
2) Other Half Bagel and Schmear (7.5% no canning date): A NEIPA from NY with Citra, El Dorado, Nelson for flavors of grapefruit, orange citrus, white grape, and OJ. (Mismatched the two blind)

Toppling Goliath versus Other Half IPA Battle featuring the Citra & Nelson combo. First is Toppling Goliath Fire, Skulls, & Money. The GOAT combo of Citra, Mosaic, and Nelson trio. Hitting it's peak between one and two months where the Mosaic berry combines with the zesty white grape from Nelson and It's perfect.
Next is Other Half Bagel and Schmear. My first try at this. Drinks with more grapefruit and pineapple zest. Still some tropical grape and OJ to balance. The El Dorado adds some pineapple and cocktail flavor. Excellent showcase of Citra and Nelson too. Fun battle today folks.

My 1st house was built in 1911. Knob & tube cloth shielded ambient wire. 8 screw-in Edison fuses in the box. The trick was the detached garage. Gone. 2X my $ with the sale.

 

From the Spring mixed pack. Pretty nice beer.

 

This new offering from Troegs is well rounded. Light and crisp but you can pick up on the malty notes. Peace!

Working like a madman this week but made it through Hump Day. Enjoying a Creature Comforts Classic City Lager. This is a really nice low ABV (4.2%) lager with plenty of flavor and character. Made with Pilsner and wheat malt, Saphir and Hallertau Blanc hops. It's crazy what CCB did with this beer. They actually made a lighter lager with high quality ingredients that is a joy to drink and on point for price ($10/ 6pk and $15/12pk). I really love the can label too. Well done CCB!
