Oh yeah! Excellent saison on from Brooklyn's Wild East. @ATL6245 this is a little lighter than the Apex Predator, but very true to style

New beer here! Bought this years ago and tonight’s the night. Cork says 2022. (Geezuz man!) I don’t recall ever having a Belgian dark strong ale. Very impressive and very delicious. Cheers

 

It's okay - I can't really recommend it. If you can find a 6 pack it might be worthy of a try. I find it to be really thin in body, and although it is fairly hoppy it's not a balanced beer IMHO.

I bought a 12 pack because that's all I could find but I wouldn't buy it again. I'm not sure what their goal was with this beer, but I think it would be much better if it were unfiltered - it needs a bit more body. Cheers!!

 

I was fortunate to grab two four packs. They went quickly. If it ever returns in cans I’ll let you know.

 

You've just opened Pandora's Box! There are few better beers than that one. Chimay may be responsible for my beer addiction.

 

My favorite of this mixed 12pack, but that's not saying much.

 

1) New Glarus Bubbler (4.0%): A Hefeweizen from Wisconsin with flavors of orange, fruity yeast and juicyfruit with bubblegum, banana, and spices. Clean.
versus
2) Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier Dunkel (5.3%): A German Dunkelweizen with flavors of smooth orange, bread spices of banana and cloves. Yeasty. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Hefeweizen versus Dunkelweizen Battle. First New Glarus Bubbler. So good when fresh. Showing some age. Still fantastic.
Next is Weihenstephaner Dunkelweizen. More caramel and dark malts. More complexity here.
Winner: Weihenstephaner

 

Happy Thursday All! Starting this evening with a new to me beer from Widowmaker. It is bit lower ABV than a lot of their offerings which isn’t necessarily a bad thing
