Got back from the beach and it poured for 5 minutes, 2 minutes later the blue sky is back. Leatherback Brewing Reef Life IPA, this is solid! Prolly switching to margaritas after this so gone til tomorrow, cheers from St. Thomas!

Today, it's grey and cool outside, out here in McGregor; a typical March day in this neck of the woods--and both cats Gracie and Sundae were pleased to help me investigate the day's new libations: First, with Gracie, it's my seventh brew from Sundbyberg, Sweden's Omnipollo--their 5% Amy 100 Day Pilsner...

Second, with both Gracie and Sundae in a rare moment that they're actually close enough to each other for me to get in one picture, my second beer from Kelheim, Germany's Schneider Weisse G. Schneider & Sohn--the 8.2% Aventinus Weizen-Doppelbock...

Finally, with Sundae, it's my second brew from Alton, Ontario's GoodLot Farmstead Brewing Co.--their 6.2% Farmstead Ale...

Starting my weekend with this one, I have another 2 German and 3 Belgians beer to last me through Sunday as well.
Apologies on my post last night that I didn’t give much of a description my rauchbier! was already one wine bottle deep by that point lol. I had enjoyed that in the park sitting in the sunshine.

This isn’t quite as good of a beer as that one was (very much tasted of landjaeger) while this is a simpler export somewhere between a helles and Pilsner in flavor. Good bread and cracker flavors but nothing crazy. My other selections however for this weekend are much more notorious. Hasta luego!

 

Today’s meeting beer is one from Transient, who makes a surprising number of different beers considering the size of the brewery.
This is one I try to grab when I see it; a good Schwarzbier is often hard to find.

Pioneer Lager in the glass...this is an excellent Czech Lager.

 

More Pioneer Lager and their Fish & Chips for lunch...excellent.



Ye Olde Ale next, their Christmas Old Ale aged in American New Oak Barrels. Interesting, I'll ad this and a review to the database soon...



Edit: Oh and now back home listening to my Fighting Illini on the WDWS Radio broadcast...cause for some stupid reason the Illinois/Wisconsin BTT game is only on Big Ten Network...and nobody in Houston carries that ha. Oh well, I'd rather listen to Brian Barnhart and Deon Thomas on the radio anyway
