English Bay, on the most Irish of days!?! Is that like an anti-Irish IPA!?! I kid I kid!

 

Here here to the frosted mug. I'm done with that. However, because I naturally gravitate towards somewhat lighter beers when having a few, this summer I'm going to refrigerate some thick glasses for outdoor drinking. And if that doesn't help 'til the end of the beer then I guess I'll just have to drink faster. Ha!
I got some more Double Brown Ale 7.5% from Bad Weather Brwg and IMO that's a cellar floor temp beer. To your point, with a bit of warming, the flavors actually blossom and the feel softens radically. We should trade some beers brother.

Happy St. Patrick's Day BAs! Like we all needed an excuse to drink a cold one. Joining @beergoot in a Sullivan's Irish Ale 5%. No auxillary vices for me; however. Would you guys believe me if I told you we had snow yesterday here in N. GA.? Yep, sure it was only about 30 minutes of flurries that didn't stick around (thank goodness). Low of 28°F this morning but we did hit 40°F. No thanks. Bring back the warm stuff.



And since no one else has, I'll have to give the traditional raising of the glass to good old Charlie Mopps. Cheers!!!

Well I heard (in an earlier post) that we are celebrating the Union Jack today. Did I get a fake news memo?

And yes, the Union Jack does technically contain the (relatively recently invented) cross of St Patrick. Which makes me feel bad for the Welsh, who were left out. And speaking of Welsh, St Pat himself was a Welshman. Ah, gotta love it.

 

Back with the Nitro Coffee Guinness and while it was a few years old, that nitro bomb was still very active.

Now I don’t rate a beer’s aroma anymore because my nose has not recovered fully from COVID. But I had such a nice mocha scent coming off this I was amazed.
Didn’t taste as good as it smelled but it tasted better than it should have.

@LarryV I fell down on the job and didn't get to pick up some Murphy's Stout. Quite missing it at this point. This Sullivan's has grown on me though. Dang near pulled off a cascading effect with it using Larry's pouring tips for stout. First class beer. It has a grassy note to me a lot reviewers don't mention. Cheers!

Right along here ba. That’s a lie, Irish stout, sand city. Nice and smokey w/ notes of dry chocolate malt, and tobacco. Not a go to style but I’m good for a can or two,

 

I guess I was supposed to have an Irish beer today,
But this is really nice
Maple syrup season is starting in Vermont, so this is appropriate

Picked this one up today. SN Mellow Little Thing HIPA 4.5%
Damn tasty and extremely light bodied. It's a winner in this series IMO. Very sessionable.
